Sports

Sport is a big part of my life and in my opinion, people that have no interest in any sports are really missing out on a very social and enjoyable interest. It’s hard for me to choose a favourite sport, as I am a big fan of football, cricket and rugby union. Obviously when the football season is over, the cricket season starts in England. And rugby is pretty much all year round as well.

I probably spend the most amount of time watching football, either on TV or at Norwich City FC, where I am a currently season ticket holder in the Jarrold Stand. I also like to play the occasional game of football in the park, even though I’m not brilliant.

Then it comes round to the British summertime, and cricket season begins. This means two things for me; playing cricket in the nets, and Essex CCC games. I love going to watch any form of cricket and have had some fantastic experiences seeing some of the greatest cricket players of all time. With England now the number one test team in the world, it has never been a better time to be into cricket.

Rugby Union is again an all year round, but I can drift in and out of it. In my opinion, it’s the best sport of the three and love watching and playing it occasionally. Considering the physicality involved in rugby, it’s amazing to see how much respect they show the referee and opposition players.

Without sport, my life would be very boring. And without SkySports, well I would struggle a lot. A daily dose of Simon Thomas and Georgie Thompson in the afternoon is never a bad thing lets be honest.
